Don’t Dry Out! How Moisture Levels drop with Age…

1
As we age the levels of moisture in the skin drops with the passage of time.

Signs of dehydrated Skin:

  • Flakiness
  • Dry patches
  • Skin tightness
  • Visible fine lines or wrinkles due to dryness
  • Sallow in color, is dull, flat and lifeless

Decade by decade, our moist and supple skin loses gradually loses its luster. In our 20’s there is the least amount of visible change in the moisture levels of the skin, but then come our 30’s and we start to see moisture levels diminish. By the time we hit our 40’s the cumulative effects of years of environmental exposure takes a toll on the skin’s moisture levels. Once we are 50 plus, skin is at its driest and retaining moisture becomes difficult. So what are we to do?

Although we cannot stop the aging process – we do have tools that can help fight the signs of aging skin by providing proper hydration to the skin. One of the cornerstones of healthy looking skin lies in the moisture content of your complexion and Hyaluronic Acid is a great hydrator to help the skin retain moisture. Hyaluronic Acid is a lubricant for the skin that helps retain moisture for smoother, softer skin. Hyaluronic Acid encourages healthy skin cell development, fights and heals dry skin, and improves circulation.

The process of aging cannot be stopped; however, proper skin care and knowledge can make the course of aging more subtle and enjoyable. Let us at Skin NV help you enjoy the passing years by making you look and feel more beautiful than ever! Call us today at 813.839.4141, we are happy to help you!
